 Galatasaray start feeling under pressure for title but still favourites against Kayserispor.

Galatasaray are going to resume its title race at the Super League against Kayserispor at the game where it would be seen as strong favourite but it needs to be mentioned that opponent are being in good morale and confidence.

It needs to be mentioned that even through Galatasaray are right now being closest side for title with 6 point advantage against closest opponent of Fenerbahce with 9 games left in the season, Kayserispor are coming out with confidence after beating Umraniyespor early this week while Galatasaray are not showing especially good performance in recent weeks. Without doubt, Galatasaray are having some pressure as title is getting closer. Still Galatasaray would be seen as favourite during game as it playing at home and it did have one week break from season where it has focussed into how to improve game mentally and physically.

Galatasaray are being favourites for game but it would be tough game as Kayserispor aims to show some good resistance.

Samsunspor has been promoted to top division after 11 years. 

Samsunspor has become 1st side to be promoted to the Super League with 5 weeks left until end of the 1st league season, as it had impressive 11-game undefeated run and has shown strong performance as Genclerbirligi has beat 2nd spot Eyupspor with 2:0 scoreline.

Without doubt Huseyin Eroglu joining side in start of the season as team has been at 7th spot and later had an impressive winning run has played an important role as Samsunspor has managed to get promoted into top division after 11-years. It needs to be mentioned that even through it has been 11 years since Samsunspor has been relegated, it has been among iconic sides at the top league during 1990's period and did get some good performance and for sure it would be seeking to show similar performance at the top league once again.

TFF defends Lale Orta by statement which disapproves negative chants towards women staff

TFF has announced that it would not accepting using foul language towards women workers who are working at TFF, clubs and other parts of society as this could be seen an important and praised statement, but it is clear that main reason behind this is being due of Central Referee Committee CEO Lale Orta.

As it is known, Central Referee Committee CEO Lale Orta has got high number of crticism from clubs due of some questionable decisions with some clubs going so far as calling for resignation. This events without doubt has also affected towards team supporters as there are have been calling for resignation of Lale Orta which did go by using foul language towards her as it tends to do. Possibly due of being rising in recent weeks, TFF has made such decision to prevent such reaction towards Lale Orta.

TFF did make smart move by preventing anti-Lale Orta chants by providing general statement which criticises such chants to every women involved at game.

TFF announced that Super League next season will start on 11th August

TFF has announced scheduling plan for upcoming season which has been organised due of Euro 2024 which would taking place in Germany and possibly due of some clubs starting season earlier due of European competitions will start and end earlier than usual.

Season is going to start on 11th August and would be entering in one of the most earliest date in the history of the league as it would be completed at 9th May. It needs to be reminded that due of reduction of coefficiency of Turkish clubs at European competitions, qualifying round for clubs would be starting as early as early July, so moving start of the season in such early date could be related to this. Also, it would be among earliest ending of the season and going through some mistake of ending season in very short notice of start of the European competition.  With such scheduling Turkish National Team would have good time for preparation if it gets to Euro 2024.

Only negative aspect could be hot months of August which could have some impact to level of games played.

TFF has provided candidacy for Euro 2028 and Euro 2032.

TFF has provided its candidacy files for Euro 2028 and Euro 2032 to UEFA for Turkey candidacy as it would be giving another try to get main European sporting event as it tend to provide candidacy in previous tournaments.

In fact his would be 6th consecutive bid for the tournaments, as previous bid has been unsuccessful and hence Turkey in recent tournaments has bidded into more tournaments than it has participated in its history. As it is known, Turkey has been developing into making modern stadiums believing that it could be main reason to get eventually European Championships in country, and even through it has impressive stadiums and sporting facilities, there are lots of issues which UEFA doesnt find suitable. Turkey will give its chances but it would be difficult candidacy where it would need to convince UEFA.

Rather than stating that it is best bid publicly and after not being selected blaming "foreign influences", it needs to find its weaknesses and sort them out in this process.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce continue trash talk towards each other.

On-going fight with Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are continuing as both sides inclining for both clubs influencing both TFF and Central Referee Committee to make decisions against them.

Both due of being two clubs closest for title, historical rivarly and generally dislike between clubs for long time, could be seen for trash talk given to each other. Fenerbahce administrator Burak Kizilhan has stated that Galatasaray has always used as Fenerbahce to blame and raise tension but did same thing in same statement going as far as saying that most referees are supporting Galatasaray and stated that for 6 months side players didnt recieve red card. Meanwhile, Galatasaray is not doing much to reduce tension with statements such as that their are documents which would be announced in end of the season as doing so would create lots of tension.

It does look that trash talk between sides would continue taking place between sides until end of the season and possibly beyond it.

Fenerbahce got crucial win against Fatih Karagumruk.

Fenerbahce carries its title race as it has won a crucial game against Fatih Karagumruk which didnt use for 11 games and reduced point difference with league leaders Galatasaray to 6 points.

It needs to be stated that Fenerbahce did have pretty poor and ineffective 1st half without controlling in creative manner and without creating much chances and to its own luck Fatih Karagumruk has shown ineneffective game despite of scoring one goal. However, with some mistakes at starting 11 as he aimed to show support to its player Irfan Can Kahveci and William Arao who been booed by supporters didnt turn around well. However, with some important substitutes on 2nd half has provided Fenerbahce to show much more attacking game as Miha Zajc did score one of this best goals in his career whille Atilla Szalai did find a winning goal. Meanwhile, there was another referee incident as there questions of Arao disallowed goal and ungiven penalty.

Fenerbahce keeps themselves at title race with such win as we entering into last stages of the season but side cant afford to lose games any more for title.

Trabzonspor interest to appoint Shota Arveladze and Slaven Bilic.

Trabzonspor looks to be focussing right now towards head coaches which are not coaching any sides as there rumours that team is considering to appoint Shota Arveladze and Slaven Bilic.

With both coaches contracts being terminated earlier this season and also being familiar with Turkish football as Arveladze has been coach at Trabzonspor before, would also be great option for themselves. Until now, Trabzonspor has been focussed into coaches which are being occupied and hence has closed door to found coach until end of the season so therefore such decision could be good one to focus into available. With this season more or less finished, appointing right now would allow coach to be inside team and see weaknesses and strengthens at first hand.

Alfons Groenedijk considers to leave his post in the end of the season

Antalyaspor asisstant coach Alfons Groenendijk is reported to be considering to leave side at the end of the season as he is being second man behind head coach Nuri Sahin for long time.

Alfons Groenendijk has been playing an important role as assistant coach and due of Sahin not having coaching licence is always taking place at his place as post-game interviews and with having so much time being at 2nd spot he would likely consider to become main coach which could be seen as main reason for him to considering to leave side as it does prevent to develop.

Fenerbahce kept at title race with showing effective game on 2nd half.

Fenerbahce has kept its title race arrive as it has reduced point difference against Galatasaray to 6 points and has also ended undefeating run of Fatih Karagumruk as it has shown strong character during 2nd half of the game.

It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce did provided pretty poor 1st half as it didnt provide much pressure to Fatih Karagumruk with providing without doubt pretty passive game and did end 1st half with losing 1:0 against opponent which wasnt on their best day too. In fact, conceded goal from Ozdoev has been come from mistake from Altay Bayindir due of not being able to catch ball. However, with changes at Fenerbahce on half-time as Miha Zajc and Joao Pedro has ended into field and also effective talk from Jorge Jesus during half-time without doubt has affected into performance as side has shown strong attacking game. Miha Zajc hence has provided an effective shot which has provided waking up call for the team. Fenerbahce hence provided a performance during 2nd half which showed character of team which is fighting for title which was missing in 1st half.

Besiktas sends an important message with win against Giresunspor for top spot.

Besiktas has managed to get win against Giresunspor with 3:1 scoreline with getting behind from 1:0 loss and hence has won 5th game back-to-back at home ground and keeping its alive at title race and more realistic in the fight for 2nd spot.

It needs to be mentioned that Besiktas didnt have very good start of the game as Giresunspor did show confident and strong attacking game for first 20 minutes as it has also found a goal. However,this conceded goal has been waking up call for Besiktas as it has started showing much more effective game and without doubt penalty goal from Vincent Aboubakar on 39th minute has provided more motivation and confidence to them, while it had opposite effect to Giresunspor. As game has progressed, Besiktas has got more control of the game with more or less getting full control during 2nd half where it has also found 3rd goal. This result has shown without doubt that Besiktas is being at high confidence and would stay at race for higher spots until end of the season.

Giresunspor joins club which call for Lale Orta resignation

Meanwhile, Giresunspor has joined to the clubs which are showing unhappiness with performance of referees and Central Referee Committee CEO Lale Orta calling for resignation of latest following Besiktas game.

The incident which led for such events from Giresunspor to take place has been foul from Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar with hitting into face of Giresunspor players in two different but back-to-back positions which clubs argues quite rightfully was red card, but referee has only given warning to Aboubakar. Besiktas got confident win despite of poor start of game against Giresunspor

Besiktas has continued its winning run at the Super League as it has won against Giresunspor with 3:1 scoreline and hence has won 5 game back-to-back even through it didnt have very good performance.

It needs to be mentioned that it took some time for Besiktas to get into the game as Giresunspor has shown good performance of the start while Besiktas did look to be pretty passive and with such ineffective start it did concede a goal from Bajc on 20th minute. This conceded goal has been a waking up call for Besiktas as it started rising tempo and after converting penalty goal on 39th minute from Aboubakar, it has taken full control. Therefore, Besiktas did got full control of the game and has found 2 more goals on rest of the moment and didnt let an opponent to get once again into the game. It needs to be mentioned that Vincent Aboubakar continues to be taking lion share of the good performance as among converting penalty, he also scored in the end of the 1st half. Meanwhile, only negative aspect which could be given is injury of Cenk Tosun as club would be hoping for fast recovery from player.

Giresunspor which does need points to get rid of relegation scare did start game accordingly showing positive and attacking game with controlling game which led them to convert goals. However, ironically that goal had negative impact for them as Besiktas started showing much more effective game to which it couldnt respond. Giresunspor would need to show such game for 90 minutes.

With this win Besiktas keeps themselves at title race but more realistically it led them to get closer for 2nd spot as team is being on good form and looks like it would provide top performance in upcoming weeks.

Trabzonspor are lacking confidence and motivation right now.

Trabzonspor continues losing games back-to-back with this time losing to Kasimpasa with 2:0 scoreline as Black Sea is being most demotivated side right now and does lack direct focus for sure.

With changes of head coaches in recent weeks and uncertainty in such performance and CEO change had more negative impact to the team has been also been observed at the game against Kasimpasa as even through side did create some chances and did show some good willingness, the team is lacking concentration and motivation. Totally opposite could be stated for Kasimpasa who currently aiming to get themselves further from relegation zone and this confirmed into performance. Fenerbahce would aim to carry on title race against in-form Fatih Karagumruk

With Fenerbahce regaining confidence and motivation with confident win against Kayserispor at the Turkish Cup following devastating loss to Besiktas at the league, it would be willing to send similar message at the league game against Fatih Karagumruk.

Stating that, when looking into period after devastating earthquake, Fatih Karagumruk is being side who is showing best performance with winning 5 games back-to-back and also has good performance against Istanbul sides in this season. Trabzonspor continues getting poor results with losing to Kasimpasa this time

Trabzonspor continues showing poor and ineffective performance as it has lost to Kasimpasa as Istanbul side has looked more motivated and confident on the field with finding two goals.

With Trabzonspor getting further and further from top 4 positions at the league and also being out of the Turkish Cup, it has been affected for side to be losing motivation and confidence and this has transformed into this game without doubt as it didnt provide much dangerous opportunities as game more or less has been played at low tempo. Getting positive wind on its back during this period, it would be expected to show some good performance with strong supporters pushing them on home ground. Giresunspor as it is known does provide some very good performance against big clubs in recent seasons and would be continuing to do so but it needs to be mentioned that in recent game team struggles to show good performance.

Fenerbahce showed good reaction against Kayserispor.

Fenerbahce has managed to show strong reaction game against Kayserispor following dramatic loss to Besiktas in the league as it has beaten opponent at Turkish Cup with 4:1 scoreline despite of high number of protests given by supporters.

Fenerbahce did come out to game against Kayserispor with an aim to show reaction and send also message to Turkish football community and hence it needs to be mentioned that Kayserispor has been unlucky to meet them in this period. It needs to be stated that apart of first 20 minutes, Fenerbahce did control game and has been one creating chances and hence converting some key chances and possibly even be able to score goals. To all respect of Kayserispor and its willingness, it has needed to state that main opponent during this game has been its own fans who has shown unhappiness and protests to team following loss to Besiktas and hence making their title hopes slightly more difficult. This game on field has also been good performance for Serdar Dursun, Emre Mor and Ezgjan Alioski  who have gained some confidence and motivation.

Fenerbahce does get to semi-final of Turkish Cup and would be meeting Sivasspor on that round as it is seen on paper number one favourite to win cup.

Kayserispor become tired and demotivated too early against Fenerbahce.

Kayserispor on their part did have very good start of the game as it has played on same level as Fenerbahce for around 20 minutes but afterwards has lost concentration and had signs of tiredness.

Following game, Kayserispor head coach Cagdas Atan has admitted that he made mistake expecting for players to be energised and needed to make some rotation, but it needs to be stated that he did have limited players compare to big clubs. Still, it was clear that Kayserispor did come out for a win as could be seen from fast equaliser goal on 19th minute, 10 minute after conceding. But as it has conceded goals and signs of tiredness started to come out it has reduced its performance and had some difficult times at game. 

Therefore, it would be unfair to criticise unwillingness of players to win game but sign of tiredness and being demotivated as game progressed had affected outcome.

Trabzonspor are coming out to formality game against Kasimpasa.
