Basaksehirspor keeps carrying on losing crucial points and puts its league title into real risks.

Basaksehirspor has lost another points during Super League 31st week game against Sivasspor as it has failed to win during last 3 weeks and currently are having a huge risk at losing its opportunity to get league title in the end of the season.

In fact, Basaksehirspor has come out to the game with high opportunity to get control of its fate as its main rivals for league title Galatasaray and Besiktas would be playing against each other on 5th May. It needs to be admitted that Basaksehirspor has been provided much more willing and attacking compare to last week Goztepe game, but this factor of providing lack of  creative game at the attack has once again costed Basaksehirspor its opportunity to win game without doubt. Another aspect which has been aimed that Basaksehirspor carries on providing similar performance which it did beforehand but as league gets to last weeks and all of the sides are showing much more controllable and focussed game, same tactics doesnt seem to be case. It does look like Basaksehirspor after getting 8 point advantage only 3 weeks ago, which by any marks would lead for team to win league title, it carries on losing point back to back. Basaksehirspor once again comes to the point at not gathering points when it matters and team and to some extend Abdullah Avci are not able to get wins at the weeks when it matters and with aspects it would be hard for team to get any league title not only this season but also in upcoming seasons.

On other hand, Sivasspor has provided good performance with mainly focussing into defensive game and as time went by it start creating some of the chances as game has been progressed. It is hard to state that Sivasspor was aiming to win game but more like not to lose game and has managed successfully to prevent opponent at finding goals. Sivasspor did provide vision meanwhile that it can provide good performance at the last 3 games of the season.

Basaksehirspor is getting into moment when it loses league title by its own poor performance and would hope for now for derby game to end with draw, but most importantly even if that game ends with draw it needs to improve its performance.

Fenerbahce needs to win Kasimpasa if it doesnt want to  have nervous end of the season.

Fenerbahce would be coming to very important game against Kasimpasa during Super League 31st week to prevent risk at having very nervous last weeks of the season as it would aim to secure at staying league in few weeks time.

Regarding of conditions of all teams at the bottom and also taking account that only 4 weeks left until end of the season and currently Fenerbahce having 4 point advantage from relegation zone, it is expected that for team winning 2 games would be enough for them not to be relegated. Quite naturally Fenerbahce without doubt would like to secure its stay at the Super League prior to last 2 weeks and hence would be coming out to the game with an aim to win. Kasimpasa meanwhile needs to be stated is not showing great performance right now and hence would only see this game as an opportunity to win game against big clubs but as it is known this is strong motivation especially taking account general performance of Fenerbahce. Hence, Fenerbahce needs to aim at least to show winning performance, as high level performance will not be highly expected from team sadly. Fenerbahce are coming out as favourite due of status and position of the team, but it also needs to perform like favourite and this what team failed to do for most amount of games this season.

Burak Yilmaz is more likely to score than Mbiaye Diagne during derby game.

As would been expected, whole focus of the Turkish football community is currently given to Super League 31st week derby game between Galatasaray and Besiktas as winner of this game, could also become champions at the end of the season.

Basaksehirspor needs to win Sivasspor if it wants league title.

Basaksehirspor would be coming to very important game against Sivasspor during Super League 31st week game if it wants to get league title especially taking account that Besiktas and Galatasaray would be playing against each other on 5th May.

The main conversation regarding of Basaksehirspor has been that it has lost focus during its game and most importantly are feeling under pressure as we are entering to last 4 weeks of the season as it has lost 8 point advantage from 2nd placed Galatasaray to 2 points. This game against Sivasspor, an opponent which meanwhile are among ones who are currently aimless at the season, to start new beginning and start an important back-to-back to wins at least prior to Galatasaray game. It needs to be stated that at the standings Basaksehirspor are still one who has upper hand at title race and hence it needs to be performing in that manner if it wants to get league title. Alanyaspor is showing great support to Josef Sural family.

Alanyaspor has decided to go along with playing Super League 31st week game against Konyaspor following being devastated from death of Josef Sural as players has asked for administration that their are feeling comfortable to play at game.

As it was known, and this blog has supported among Konyaspor, Alanyaspor was considering to postpone game but after talking to players administration has decided to go along with game. TFF has announced that Turkish Cup final between Akhisarspor and Galatasaray has been moved from 16th May to 15th May due of scheduling of Super League and taking account that side would be playing against Basaksehirspor on that weekend which is important game for league title.

Even through it could be seen that both sides are losing day for preparation of the game, it needs to be stated that both sides would be coming out to potential crucial games at league and hence would rather demand an extra day prior to this game rather than cup. Discussion regarding of Super League 31st week game between Alanyaspor and Konyaspor to be played or postponed carries on as Alanyaspor has provided request to TFF requesting for game to be postponed.

As it is known, on Sunday night during minibus journey Alanyaspor player Josef Sural has passed away due of vital crash which has affected quite naturally devastation to the Alanyaspor as a whole. With this psychological condition it would be hard for them to come out and play against Konyaspor as it would be mentally difficult for them without doubt. Our blog yesterday did state that game should be postponed and we are still standing at this stance for sure. It is especially pleasing to see that Konyaspor is also supporting this idea and provides strong support towards Alanyaspor decision. As been stated at blog yesterday, this game doesnt also affect much into standings and hence it can afford to move date of this game to another date. Meanwhile, it needs to be stated that Alanyaspor also done right and respectful decision of retiring 90th shirt, wore by Josef Sural and also carry on paying 2.5 year salary which would go to his widow and children.

TFF needs to act rightfully and postpone games, in fact it could postpone whole week but sadly derby game Galatasaray-Besiktas game will be this weekend and tickets are arleady in sale so this might create some issues.

Too much focus at referees for some clubs could affect last 4 weeks performance.

With conversation about performance of referees being talked a lot as we are entering to final weeks of the Super League with up section and bottom playing an important games, also complaints about referees start taking place pretty actively.

An interesting proposition has been provided today from Galatasaray CEO Mustafa Cengiz stating that Central Referee Committee should choose referees for the games by draw and hence reduce controversy regarding those choices, but this an interesting approach and might still create some issues in the upcoming period, even if this proposition is for last 4 games. In fact, most clubs especially after loss, and hence main reason why Besiktas is being quite in recent weeks, are carrying on complaining about issues including Fenerbahce. Eljif Elmas performance at Fenerbahce during recent seasons has been very impressive as due of only 19-year old age he is providing great performance and has great speed. Due of his age his still lack some of the aspects, but even taking that account it needs to be admitted that he understands and willingness to get into dangerous moments quite actively which could be also seen at Galatasaray derby game. Galatasaray has failed to get leadership prior to 4 weeks of the league.

Galatasaray had trouble at getting through Konyaspor defence game which is tactical being used by Aykut Kocaman due of lacking strong attackers at his squad and hence has focussed not to allow Galatasaray to create many chances. As in one side, this tactic has worked well for him it needs to be noted that on other hand Istanbul giant had trouble at showing good and attacking game with creative aspect available to it. It needs to be noted that Mbiaye Diagne has once again has shown very poor performance and has wasted a very good chance at 2nd half. Meanwhile, there has been high amount of criticism towards referee of the game Arda Kardesler but it needs to be noted that he did show reasonable good performance and it does look like Galatasaray sadly is creating new habit at blaming poor results into referee and this could provide some destruction to the team at the upcoming games.

Galatasaray meanwhile didnt provide promising image prior to very important derby game against Besiktas on 5th May but in same time it does provide very good performance at home so it would be exciting game for sure.

TFF needs to postpone Alanyaspor-Konyaspor game.

Disbelief and aftermath of death of Alanyaspor player Josef Sural carries on being felt heavily at Turkish football community today, especially taking account from club CEO Hasan Cavusoglu statements it could be also be prevented.

One of the main discussion which taking place is understandable consideration of Alanyaspor to ask TFF to postpone game as this death of course has provided negative affect to whole team as it was known that players and coaches had great connection with Sural even if he only joined team during mid-season transfer window. Meanwhile, Konyaspor has also stated that it would respect decision to postpone game as both sides are scheduled to meet on 6th May. It would be also expected that TFF could postpone game and show its humanity side especially taking account that both sides doesnt have upper or low at the league aims so it wont affect negatively if this game will not be played. As blog, we would expect for game to be postponed but decision will be TFF.

Basaksehirspor feels pressure during title race. 

Even through when looking at standings and despite of losing crucial points at the league,
Basaksehirspor still stays as main canditate for league title but as been stated their performance doesnt provide much hope for last games.

This blog has been stated for several months that team could have some difficulty during last weeks as it did in previous season. However, it needs to be stated that writer of this blog is actually surprised that condition which league has come out as Basaksehirspor 8 point advantage over Galatasaray only 3-4 weeks ago is big advantage. We did expect for Basaksehirspor to lose points towards end but it start losing them, and hence feeling pressure, too early. As been stated Basaksehirspor would still have strong chance for title if it has 5 point advantage when it comes to Galatasaray which still can happen if it wins this week and Galatasaray loses but also Besiktas coming up closer would provide now Basaksehirspor double pressure. What needs to be done, and this is only solution, is for Abdullah Avci not mainly into tactical changes, as regardless how boring it looked, has gave them points but lead team not to feel pressure and focus into league title.

Galatasaray didnt provide strong attacking game against Konyaspor.

Galatasaray has lost golden opportunity to end Super League 30th week as leaders as it didnt manage to beat Konyaspor as game has ended with goalless draw as Istanbul side didnt provide any shots at the target.

Even through Galatasaray did control for most amount of the game and didnt provide some actions close to goal line, it has lacked an important creative performance during game and with Konyaspor providing strong defensive game, it has lost an important opportunity to get an upper hand at the title race without doubt. It needs to be noted meanwhile that if Galatasaray still manages to win all of the 4 games left during this season, which are against other opponents for league title it would still win title. However, it needs to be stated with performance which Galatasaray is showing especially struggling when coming to an away performance, it does provide some worries if it can provide similar performance in upcoming games. One of the worrying aspects of Galatasaray during today's game that it didnt provide much of performance of going forward and hungrily looking for a goal, with some moments looking like Galatasaray was playing for a draw which isnt acceptable taking account that Konyaspor didnt also show much difficult towards Galatasaray goal.

Looking at the game, it was obvious that Konyaspor main focus for today's game was to not concede goal rather than scoring as it has focussed heavily into defense game which it did show in good organised manner. Even through Galatasaray as been mentioned didnt provide strong creative game, Konyaspor has shown strong defence which prevented Galatasaray to feel comfortable at attack.

Galatasaray right now has lost 2 points against Konyaspor and even through winning rest of 4 games would make them champions, this loss would affect negatively to morale especially before crucial derby game against Besiktas.

Besiktas has got right into title race with win against Ankaragucu.

Despite of not providing a great performance especially during 1st half of Super League 30th week game against Ankaragucu, Besiktas has got an important win with 4:1 scoreline and currently are located 3 points behind Basaksehirspor.

As Besiktas has become closer for title race, its performance has been changed into more tactical game and more careful performance quite naturally compare to only previous game and with Ankaragucu providing more or less an open game, it had trouble to get an upper hand. However, goal from Burak Yilmaz has helped side to get leading scoreline of the game and during 2nd half of Domadoj Vida has helped side to get dominance for rest of the game. Besiktas as a team hence has shown confident performance and has got confident win and most importantly has recieved high motivation for derby game against Galatasaray taking place on 5th May which could become game which could decide who would win title at the end of the season. Meanwhile, it needs to be stated that Burak Yilmaz has once again ahoqn why he is important player for a side as he become main reason for side to find winning goal. Besiktas right now has real chances at winning league title at the end of the season as it has won 6 games back-to-back and would now need to continue this form for next 4 games.

Besiktas does come out to the last 4 games with best form but it still has disadvantage of being behind at points, but beating Galatasaray next week could also turn around this also.

Josef Sural has passed away due of traffic accident. 

Turkish football community has been strongly affected this morning from news that Alanyaspor player Josef Sural has been passed away following traffic incident when privately owned minibus has experienced crash.

The incident happened when 7 players has called seperately minibus and were travelling to Alanya from Kayserispor game of Super League 30th week game and around 2 am it has got into bus crash where Sural has been thrown out from bus due of impact and has recieved high amount of wounds both internal and external. Despite of all attempts by hospital to save his life with operations, it wasnt able to do anything. It also become clear that bus drivers which were both at the minibus have fallen to sleep when accident took place which means that all responsibility has been taken from their unprofessional action which has sadly cost their life. This loss surely has affected to Turkish football community when taking account that this death could been prevented. It also needed to be stated that all other 6 players who were wonded due of accident, dont have serious injuries and are expected to show fast recovery and be discharged from hospital.

Besiktas has reduced point difference to 3 points with leaders despite of poor performance in 1st half. 

With Basaksehirspor losing 3 points earlier during this week, Besiktas has got an important chance to drop point difference to 3 points and also raise high amount of motivation prior to one of the most important games against Galatasaray taking place next week.

With Besiktas coming out to the game which it needed to win with 4:1 scoreline against Ankaragucu, it needs to be stated that it had some difficult game especially during 1st half as Ankaragucu has been side which has been creating chances and looking for a goal. But it needs to be stated that class of Burak Yilmaz, which are among main players to bring back this side back towards title race has scored with pure class. Fenerbahce needs to focus into those 4 games and at least end season at high note but its hard task for them. Fenerbahce has got an important point with help to Valbuena while Trabzonspor lost crucial 2 points.

Mathieu Valbuena last minute goal from hat-trick has possibly kept Fenerbahce at Super League as it is at point, when looking overall sadly is crucial point, but it was still important to find goal with having 1 less player as Sadik Ciftpinar has recieved red card earlier during game.

When looking at the game overall it could be stated that Fenerbahce did provide much better performance compare to Trabzonspor and does give some hope for last 4 games, but still team didnt provide great performance as even through it has controlled game for most amount of the game, it is hard to state that it has created lots of dangerous chances especially during 1st half. It needs to be noted that even through Fenerbahce could be criticised for not providing perfect performance, it was still important for them to create high amount of the chances after having 10-men and has shown strong focus towards game which has played an important role for this crucial point of the team.
