Fenerbahce gets into final of Turkish Cup with impressive 5:0 aggregate win against Konyaspor.

Fenerbahce has got into final of the Turkish Cup final with winning 2nd leg game against Konyaspor with 2:0 and making aggregate scoreline to impresive 5:0 scoreline. Konyaspor during the game didnt provide much pressure to the team and hence allowed Fenerbahce to have very calm campaign at cup semi-final stage.

The game in fact was very similar to the Trabzonspor at the league for Fenerbahce in sense that it allowed its opponents to control tempo and play according to that tempo with scoring goals themselves as their found them. The fact that Konyaspor doesnt tend to score lots of the goals during the previous games made it chance to qualify pretty slim tonight as it needed to find more than 3 goals during the game. Fenerbahce at first half didnt provide much performance however managed to find 2 goals during 2 half with the help of Fernandao and hence carry on its impressive performance both at the league and cup. This game is tough one to analyse since both teams seemed to be playing in a way that it was for formality which could also be realised with the atmosphere provided by supporters at the game.

Fenerbahce will meet against its old rivals Galatasaray in the Antalya for final on 26th May and with taking account that Galatasaray provides big aim for the tournamnent, it will be great game. But right now Fenerbahce will focus to the last 3 games of the league which it will aim to win and hope for Besiktas to lose one game.

Konyaspor meanwhile has achieved all its aims for this season and it could be seen as good season as it ending the league at the 3rd place and recieves direct entrance and Europa League and reached to semi-final stage of the cup.

Galatasaray still needs to get league serious as winning Turkish Cup final is not easy.

Galatasaray is one game away from achieving its one of the main tasks it has set as soon as it was out from league title race and recieved 1 year ban from UEFA which is to win Turkish Cup this season. It has managed to qualify to final game without much difficulty against Rizespor.

As was expected, Galatasaray has completed its task by winning 3:1 at the Rize during 1st leg game and was seeing as 2nd leg just pure formality despite being with its main squad at the game. It will be hard to analyse yesterday's performance with how it will perform against Besiktas at the 32nd week game and the factor to use their main players was to keep players at the form.Galatasaray will meet against Fenerbahce at the Turkish Cup final on 26th May and this game could be tough one for them so its still could be saver for them to quarentee its Europa League spot, and go through 1 year ban, through league route as final could end with unexpected result for them. One of the main players at the yesterday game was once again Fernando Muslera with his impressive saves and hence didnt allow Rizespor to get any hopes for surprise win and  ticket to the final. Another positive sign is great performance by Sinan Gumus, returning from long-term injury, who had played like he was never injured.

Bursaspor gives trust to its head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu

Bursaspor has announced today it will carry on with its head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu despite of recieving some poor results at the recent weeks. Even through both CEO Ali Ay and Hamza
Hamzaoglu did state that their want to carry on partnership with each other yesterday there were some waiting for decision to be made but it didnt surprise anyone.

It could be said to some extend that possibly Bursaspor didnt make same mistake which was made earlier by Galatasaray. Hamza Hamzaoglu always has potential to provide great results and hence might end this season at high note and also provide a good squad for next season which could be fighting for top places. It is important to keep belief and motivation with good head coaches because when their send away in sudden manner their might not come back again due of relationship with administration of a team for some years. Hamzaoglu has everything at hand to be successful and many coaches can have bad periods especially when team is mediocre.

Hamza Hamzaoglu needs still to prove the club that this choice is correct one and bring good results for last 3 games, but he is capable to achieve that.

What happened in Turkish football today? 04.03.2016

Galatasaray didnt have much trouble at the Turkish Cup 2nd leg of semi-final  after confident win at the 1st leg against Rizespor.

Galatasaray become first finalists at the Turkish Cup season of 2015/16 with ending 2nd leg semi-final game against Rizespor with 0:0 scoreline. Taking account that it has won 1st leg game with 3:1  scoreline it has controlled game in good manner without much stress.

To some extend the game was played in a manner which was expected by them since their have won away with comfortable scoreline of 3:1 and not many people were expecting for Rizespor to find 3 goals to get to the final of the tournament. Rizespor did find number of attacks including one at the 1st half where it got chance to score to the empty goal, if that position has happened to be goal that we might have seen possibly a different game for rest of the game. Tempo of the game was pretty fast at the game with both sides providing attacking sides but from reaction of Galatasaray when their didnt score from good positions it was obvious that their were confident their will get to the final. As been stated before several times Galatasaray is seeing this season of Turkish Cup where important target as with failing at the league and without being clear if it will get Europa League route it has provided more focus to the Turkish Cup and is only one game away at winning the cup.

If there will not be big surprise at tomorrow game between Fenerbahce and Konyaspor, their opponents will be Fenerbahce who have 3:0 advantage after 1st game. Right now team will focus to Besiktas game is no less important for them compare to their opponents as their aim for Europa League spot at the Super League also.

Rizespor task was arleady difficult after 3:1 loss after 1st game and it didnt manage to bring big surprise even through their did try. Right now at the league their close to relegation zone with 5 points advantage and need to win this weekend to become more safe for being next season at top division.

Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira is unlikely to expect loss to Konyaspor even if it has comfortable advantage.

As been stated earlier at this blog, Fenerbahce has started a very impressive winning streak during last games of the season and the 1st leg game against Konyaspor was among them where team is showing big motivation with 3:0 score. With impressive leadership after 1st leg it would be expected for Fenerbahce to play with its 2nd squad however Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira will expect from those players to show impressive performance. Uncertainty lies at the future of Mario Gomez in Besiktas.

One of the talking points right now in Turkish media is would Besiktas player Mario Gomez, loaned from Fiorentina, will be signed to his team or would leave and look for other alternative club to develop his career. Even through there is high expectation he would stay, Gomez not giving direct answer to this issue raises some questions.

In fact, Besiktas arleady start looking for alternatives, including Juventus player Mario Mandzukic, but its main aim for now is to make sure that Mario Gomez stays at the team. Besiktas tries to convince Gomez by stating that he might find difficulty and providing similar success at other teams.
It is known that Gomez is happy at the team and might decide to  stay at the team. However, there were strong rumours going around media that Gomez actually told to administrators he doesnt want to stay but this news has been declined by Gomez himself stating that he is now focussed into league title.

Galatasaray should have calm game tomorrow against Rizespor.

Focus in the Turkey will be once again given to the Turkish Cup as their will be taken place semi-finals 2nd leg fixtures and even through both games seems to be done and dusted from 1st legs results there still be some areas which should be given attentiont to during the game.

First semi-final 2nd leg game will be between Galatasaray and Rizespor as Galatasaray does seem to take Turkish Cup as the chance for the road to the Europa League next season and hence go through ban given by UEFA. The 1st leg has been won by them in Rize with 3:1 scoreline which means that Rizespor needs to find 3 goals in Istanbul. As long as Galatasaray will not make unexpected mistakes and concede goals earlier it should be calm game with the game against Besiktas coming up this weekend, which is as important to them as to Besiktas due of Europa League aims. Rizespor meanwhile does need to start the game in very attacking manner if it wants to bring big upset and surprise to Galatasaray tomorrow.

It became clear that Galatasaray player Wesley Snejder as he plans to stay safe for upcoming game against Besiktas will not play at tomorrow's game and once again showing that this derby game is important for a team. Fenerbahce goes to last 3 weeks with good chance to get title.

Fenerbahce has won an important game against Gaziantepspor with 3:0 scoreline during Super League 31st week game and with 3 games left at the season being 3 points behind Besiktas, and with equal points Fenerbahce will be clinching title it becomes clear that league title owner is far to be clear.

When it did look like Besiktas was going to become champion, Fenerbahce has responded by scoring in total of 10 goals during last 3 games including 3 goals from yesterday. It could be argued that those opponents were not hard ones who are located around relegation zone but the team has improved drastically in last games and this would be huge factor in last 3 weeks of the league. With Besiktas having real chance to lose games with its level of difficulty of games, Fenerbahce will not and should not give up. The tactics of the team has also been changed by team head coach Vitor Pereira who start playing more organised at the attacks and hence allowed attackers to get into great positions and find goals. This is among main reasons why Robin van Persie has provided 2 goals and 1 assist during last night game.

Fenerbahce will play against Basaksehirspor next week who would be much harder opponent compare to last 3 weeks as the team is fighting for 4th Europa League title place but their not performing good lately and this could be huge advantage for Fenerbahce. Konyaspor has quareenteed its 3rd place as with 3 weeks to go as it is being ahead of 4th placed Basaksehirspor 9 points with advantage at its hand and 11 points behind Fenerbahce. Finishing league at this high note and being safe for last 3 games is huge achievement of Konyaspor.

Konyaspor has lost its first game against Antalyaspor during 2nd half of the league and has 10 wins and 3 draws since end of the first half of the season. In perspective at the end of 17th week it was located at the 7th place with 4 points behind Galatasaray who were at the 3rd place. This huge achievement surely was achieved with the help of head coach Aykut Kocaman and supporters who provided strong support to the team at its new stadium at Torku Arena. Besiktas or Fenerbahce could become champions but the most successful of 2016 so far was Konyaspor at the league. Fenerbahce shows performance wise that it is still at the title race.

Fenerbahce carries on providing impressive performance at the last few weeks with scoring goals and generally providing an attacking football. With this football Fenerbahce shows to Besiktas and general fans of Turkish football that it carries on fighting for league title.

Fenerbahce  has got an important win against struggling Gaziantepspor with 3:0 scoreline and in similar manner has controlled game from the start to the end and didnt allow their opponents to create any chances. One of the main performance and improvements at the game was shown by Robin van Persie who had assisted at 1st goal and scored two goals as the game progressed. He was getting into positions to himself and has used attacks in very effective manner. One of the downsides and worrying moments of the game was by reaction and protests given by fans towards Diego Ribas who played during last minutes of the game. This should be solved and fans should support each player at this fight for league title, even if their are showing poor performance.

Fenerbahce will play an important game against Basaksehirspor while Besiktas will play against Galatasaray next week which could become crucial week for title race as both playing against most tough opponents at the left games of the season for them. Team at the top at the end of week could get title.

Gaziantepspor meanwhile is at serious position of being relegated and it will play against Eskisehirspor who could decide who stays or who lives. But Eskisehirspor does seem to be in better condition right now.

As was the case in the game against Bursaspor, the newly-opened Vodafone Arena would provide a great motivation and boost performance for Besiktas to its road for the title as was observed at the yesterday game against Kayserispor. With the big help of team supporters Besiktas was dominating game and has won game with 4:0 scoreline.

Besiktas has dominated game from start to an end without allowing any attacks to the Kayserispor and in fact during whole game its opponents didnt manage to get control of the game. Besiktas has arleady got 3:0 leaderhsip at the 30th minute of the game and could carry on scoring more goals but it decided to play for a score and this as also worked into their hands. Positive thing was also great performance by Ricardo Quaresma, who with his performance has helped a lot to a team to get such an important win and will play an important role also at the upcoming games. In fact every single player has provided great performance and once again it became clear it is hard to beat Besiktas at their new stadium and hence shows that Osmanlispor will have tough time during 33rd week.

However, prior to Osmanlispor, Besiktas has very crucial game against Galatasaray which surely will be much difficult game compare to one played yesterday. Galatasaray as a team aims to finish league at high note and hence will provide trouble to Besiktas.

Trabzonspor as a team needs anger management sessions.

Eskisehirspor has shown from start to end that it wanted the game against Trabzonspor much more, which would be seen from circumnstances of both teams. Eskisehirspor needed to win yesterday game if it wanted to stay at the league next season.

Trabzonspor incidents during last week game against Fenerbahce has also certainly affected to psychology of the players which has affected to the performance of the game. With the protest of the "2 minute think" and also extensive protest after penalty kick which went to violent notice has shown once again again that whole team needs a session of anger management. Besiktas has got comfortable win against Kayserispor as it gets closer to league title.

Besiktas has got a comfortable win against Kayserispor during Super League 31st week game with 4:0 scoreline during the period where it cant afford to lose right now. Besiktas once again has used its home ground to its maximum advantage dominating the game from start to end.

As was the case with Bursaspor game, it became clear that atmosphere at the Vodafone Arena both with advantage of the field but even more with the help of its supporters, Besiktas has made for its road to league title home ground a huge advantage. Despite of the scoreline, it needs to state with respect with Kayserispor that it tried to play an attacking football and didnt hold back much in defence.However, lack of the quality of last touch shots at the goal, poor defence and leaving gaps with this open football has affected to the scoreline. Besiktas during whole game was playing very attacking football and most of its attacks have shown its focus to attack and converting goals which could be realised by quality goals were scored at the game. Besiktas player Ricardo Quaresma has provided one of the best performances of the season and has played an important role with scoring 3rd goal and assists it done during the game.

Besiktas has got 3 points from another game and crossed its barrier until its league title which it aims for however for them awaits much difficult game against Galatasaray next week and also Osmanlispor and Konyaspor in upcoming weeks. Galatasaray at its statements does make sure that it wont allow Besiktas get a win next week and this game does look to be tough one for them and might decide who will get title on mid-May.

Even through goal has come from penalty at the end of the 1st half, Eskisehirspor has controlled game much better and has shown that it wanted game more. Fenerbahce has still got big chances of getting league title at the end of the season as it is only behind with 1 win from Besiktas for leadership and with fixture it has it can achieve league title. However, it cant afford to lose its last 4 games which includes against Gaziantepspor.

In last weeks, Fenerbahce is in good mood and has risen its performance and playing against Gaziantepspor who doesnt have any aims this season, it does come out as strong favourite. Playing such an important game at home in this crucial weeks is also very important as surely supporters are more happy with team performance in latest games. Fenerbahce has also start scoring goals at its last games and surely this would provide extra motivation to the key players at the team. Fenerbahce is focussed for 4 out of 4 for sure now.

Fenerbahce among winning its all games will also expect Besiktas to lose at least one game in same period and it believes that this can happen. Gaziantepspor could provide good game but its chances for win are low.
